Ride Share is live now, right across Sri Lanka. Share a journey someone is already making — book a seat, or fill your empty ones. It carries goods as well as people. The Ride Share guide below is the one to follow today.
Taxi booking is coming soon, opening area by area. The passenger booking guide is here ready for that. Drivers can register and get verified today, start earning on Ride Share straight away, and we will notify you when taxi booking reaches your area.

How booking a taxi will work once the service opens in your area — account, pickup, vehicle type and tracking.
Add up to five people you trust. You each see where the others are, and while one of you is on a Ride Share trip the rest can see who is driving, the vehicle number, everyone's ratings, the pickup and drop-off, and the fare. Built for the moment a relative is in a stranger's vehicle.
The tile sits just above Settings, in both the passenger and the driver app. The first person you add is what creates your family — there is nothing to set up first.
They must already have an AiGo account. The invitation goes to them: they get a notification, see who is asking and who is already in the family, and accept or decline it themselves. Nobody joins until they accept — that is the point, since being in a family means being seen.
Each member shows as online or offline for each app they use, with their last known position on a map. A live position says “Live now”; an older one always says how old it is, so you can tell a moving dot from a memory of one. Your own position is on the same map, so you can judge the distance.
Tap a member to see the Ride Share trip they are on or driving: the driver and vehicle, every passenger aboard with their rating, and each pickup and drop-off on the map. Tap any location to bring it into view.
Settings › Share live details with family hides your location and trips without leaving the family. You can leave the family entirely at any time. Nobody can remove anybody else.
A driver publishes the school run they already make; parents at those schools book a seat by the month. Not a ride you hail — book once, and your child travels every school day.
Profile › School Van › Add child. Their name, their school, their year, and a picture — you pick from a set of drawn pictures rather than uploading a photograph, and every child must have one. It is what the driver recognises them by at the stop.
Up to six children.
Tap Find a school van on your child’s card. The app already knows their school, so it shows only the vans serving it — the price, the seats left, the route on a map and the pickup times. Choose where you want them collected: one of the driver’s stops, or a spot you drop on the map yourself. The driver approves or declines, and you are told either way.
Once a seat is approved, switch to School Van at the top of the map. Each child has a card you can swipe between: the van’s live position, how far away, how long until pickup, and the driver — tap their name or the plate for their details, the vehicle’s photos and whether the pair is verified. Call them from the card.
The live position shows only while the run is actually happening, and disappears the moment the driver finishes.
Open the booking and use Not travelling — a whole day, or just the morning or the afternoon. The driver’s list for that day shows your child as absent, so nobody waits at the stop. Your seat is unaffected.
You pay the driver directly; AiGo does not take the monthly fee. If they have set a collection day, a money mark appears on the card for three days when it comes round.
My vehicles › School Van. It has to be a Mini, Van or Bus, and already approved — a tuk or a lorry cannot be a school van. Choose up to three schools within about 10 km of each other, set the seats and the monthly price, drop the point your run starts from, and tick what the van offers: air conditioning, an attendant, CCTV, seat belts and the rest. Parents see all of it.
Morning and afternoon are separate routes, because the afternoon is not reliably the morning reversed. Drop each pickup point on the map, name it something a parent will recognise, and give it a time. The road path between them is drawn for you, and the schools are the fixed end of each leg.
Every school van is reviewed before it reaches parents — it carries children, so it is checked the way your documents were. Your screen says so while it waits, and the Publish switch stays off. You are emailed the outcome, with the reason if it is turned down.
Once approved, publish it. Changing the vehicle or the schools later sends it back for review; changing a price or a time does not.
Seat requests arrive with the child, the parent and the pickup point on a map — approve or decline. The daily run lists who is expected, where, and when, with the parent a tap away.
Start and finish the run with a swipe, and a tick decides whether parents are notified. If you have to give a seat up, you must say why, and the parent is told the reason.
Complete your profile and vehicle verification to start earning.
Download the separate AiGo Driver app and register using your mobile phone number.
Enter your personal information and upload a clear profile photograph.
Upload the required driving licence and vehicle documents for administrator verification.
From Profile > Vehicles, tap "Add vehicle" (up to 2 per driver). Choose your vehicle type, enter your plate number (e.g. AB-1234), model and colour, then take at least 4 photos of the vehicle before saving.
AiGo will review your profile, documents and vehicle details before approving your account.
The moment an administrator approves your vehicle, a one-time gift of free tokens lands in your account and we email you to say so. Every vehicle you register earns its own gift — but each gift can only be spent on the vehicle that earned it.
After approval, switch your status to online and start receiving nearby passenger requests.
Open Profile › Trusted passengers and build your list in whichever way suits: Add from contacts picks someone from your phone, Add by phone number lets you type a name and number yourself, and after you carry someone the rating screen offers Add to trusted passengers in one tap.
A request from anyone on that list arrives with a green In your trusted list badge, so you can see at a glance that you already know them. That works on its own — you do not have to restrict anything to get it.
If you would rather share your car only with those people, switch on Only my trusted passengers can request. While it is on, nobody else can request a seat on your trips — your trips are simply not shown to them. Leave it off and any passenger can request, which is the default and will find you far more riders. AiGo asks you to confirm either way, and tells you what changed.
AiGo never reads your address book: the picker hands over only the people you actually choose, and a number you type is stored in AiGo alone — it is not added to your phone's contacts. You can add someone who has not joined AiGo yet — their entry starts working the day they register, and there is an Invite someone to AiGo button on the same screen.
Taxi booking has not launched yet — we are opening it area by area. These are the steps for when it reaches you. To travel today, use the Ride Share guide.
